THE France-South Africa season presents the French Film Festival in Port Elizabeth from Wednesday to Saturday August 15-18. Films to be screened 35 Shots of Rum and Declaration of War on Friday August 17,  and Chicken with Plums and Love Lasts Three Years on Saturday August 18.

* GUITAR PERFORMANCE

* WORLD-RENOWNED PIANIST

French artist Jacques de Loustal’s South African Road Trip  is at the Alliance Française, 17 Mackay Street in Richmond Hill, PE, till August 25. 

* Dennis Delmar’s oil and acrylic painting exhibition will be at Dessie’s @ The Tin House at 35 Cuyler Street in PE till August 31.

Collect!ve, a fine art exhibition of 27 leading  Eastern Cape artists, is at ART at 51b Cuyler Street, Central Hill in PE till September 30.

* The Standard Bank Young Artist award for visual art 2012 winner Mikhael Subotzky will be exhibiting Retinal Shift which investigates the practice and mechanics of looking while not seeing, at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum till September 5.

* The annual Turned Wood art exhibition is at ArtEC in Bird Street, Central in PE, until August 24.

* The Red Location Museum in New Brighton is hosting the Workers Culture in Two Nations: SA and the US exhibition in collaboration with Michigan State University until the end of September.

* Melody Land will be exhibiting at the Ann Bryant  Coach House at 9 St Marks Road, Southernwood, East London, from Tuesday August 21.
