‘Tame’ lynx moved to game reserve

Avis Rent A Car employees Ruth de Vos (left) and Samantha van Dyk with a young lynx found near the Port Elizabeth airport. Wildline PE chairman Arnold Slabbert said the lynx, about four months old, has been relocated to Kragga Kamma game reserve. Slabbert said the lynx was very tame, suggesting it was raised by people - a practice he does not condone. Heat is on for today’s Chilli Fest

Green light for going green

GOING GREEN: Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University staff (from left) Professor Henk de Jager, Bev Erickson, Greg Ducie, Melvin Syce and Gerrit Smit took up the green challenge and will be using solar battery-powered bicycles and scooters to commute around and between the university’s North and South campuses in Port Elizabeth. Whether it is holiday clubs for the kiddies, adventure sports or South Africa’s top DJs coming to a club near you, we’ll let you know what’s happening and where this weekend and into every coming week.
